RhyFlow respects the privacy of children and families using our games.
What we collect
During this pilot, we may collect limited information including gameplay responses, scores, timing, accuracy, missed or extra responses, game progress, session duration, age in years, prior music-learning experience and feedback. We do not require the child's full name to participate.
Why we collect it
We use gameplay and feedback information to understand how learners interact with RhyFlow, evaluate and improve our games and learning activities, and develop future RhyFlow features.
Email updates
If a parent or guardian separately chooses to receive RhyFlow updates, we will use the email address provided to send occasional updates and invitations to future testing. Providing an email address is optional.
Children's information
Where parent or guardian consent is required, RhyFlow asks for that consent before collecting or using the child's personal data. We aim to collect only information reasonably needed for this pilot.
Storage and protection
Pilot responses are sent to RhyFlow using Google services. Gameplay and survey data are kept in a separate tab from optional parent contact details and adult free-text comments within the RhyFlow pilot spreadsheet. If sending fails, a privacy-minimised retry record may be held temporarily on this device for up to 24 hours; parent email, child age and adult comments are not included in that browser retry record. We take reasonable steps to protect personal data and do not sell personal data.
Retention and choices
Child age, optional parent contact details and identifiable adult free-text feedback will be deleted within 12 months after this pilot/validation phase ends, unless continued retention is required by law or you have agreed to a further use. Other pilot data may be retained for product evaluation and development after reasonable steps are taken to remove direct identifiers. You may ask about your personal data, request correction where applicable, or withdraw consent for its continued use.
